Simple Yoga Sequence

In this short 7 minute video I lead you through a sequence that will release stress and tension in your upper body. You can do it sitting in a chair or seated on a cushion, mat, or even a rolled-up towel, on the ground (I explain this at the start!).

An Introduction to Nadi Shodhana

In this video, I introduce you to a simple Yogic breathing technique called Nadi Shodhana, or you may have heard of it called Alternate Nostril Breathing.

It's a beautiful, powerful tool that you can easily incorporate into a daily practice.

Watch this video to get an overview of the purpose and value of this practice. Once you've watched this, you can watch the next video each time you'd like me to guide you (in that video, it's a shorter version of this video - the last section).

Demonstration of Nadi Shodhana

In this video I guide you through two rounds of Nadi Shodhana - Alternate Nostril Breathing. Handy if you want a reminder or have already watched my explanation in the previous Introduction to Nadi Shodhana video!

Gentle Yogic Journey

In this session, I lead you through a gentle, breath-led practice to help you pause and notice the wisdom of your body. Before you start, it's important that you listen to your body and only move in a way that makes you feel comfortable. Nothing should hurt in yoga! All you need is enough space for a yoga mat or beach towel to be laid out. You might like to get a rolled-up towel/blanket and/or cushion to sit on. If you have a yoga block (which is a similar size to a tissue box), get that now. ps. the picture freezes at about 5 mins 20 for about 30 seconds but it won't impact your practice and it does unfreeze!

Learn how to do a Sun Salutation sequence - a 10-minute yoga session for all ages

In this short 10 minute video, Tara explains the benefits of the Sun Salutation sequence and shows you how to do it. She recommends it as a great session for kids, something they could watch or you could show them yourself.

Belly breathing (a 5-minute yoga practice that's great for all ages)

In this short 5 minute video, she leads you through Belly Breathing which is great for kids and adults - we often forget how to breathe and miss out on all the benefits of filling our belly and body with this life force. It's best to lie down somewhere comfortable. It doesn't have to be on a yoga mat!

Yoga Nidra - Yogic sleep, a deeply relaxing session

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep as it is often referred to, is a guided technique that induces a deep state of relaxation. Via simple guided steps, the practice promotes a state that looks like sleep but where the consciousness is functioning at a deep level of awareness. It's a very straight forward practice that doesn't require any special tools or skills. All that's required is 20 minutes in a quiet room without interruptions and the ability to listen. It can be practised at any time of the day to melt away physical, mental and emotional tension. It's said that 20 minutes of yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2-3 hours of quality sleep. To prepare, grab yourself cushions and/or blankets, or anything you need to lie down (on your back if possible) and be comfortable and warm.

Short 'grounding' Yoga sequence (11 minutes)

In this short video I lead you through a simple, grounding yoga sequence, ideal for anyone new to yoga or when you don't have much time!
